Alex Johnson

Alex Johnson’s research project is part of the Professional Doctorate of Social Work program and is focused on discourses around maternal substance use and drug and alcohol treatment conditions through the Children’s Court of Victoria (Family Division).

Professionally, Alex is the Alcohol and Other Drugs Family Counseloor at Curran Place (Uniting ReGen) Adult and Mother Baby Withdrawal Service. She works primarily with women who have interactions with the child protection system and drug and alcohol treatment needs.

Alex has worked in community youth services and adult forensic drug and alcohol case management.
